Introducing Dcovery
Dcovery is the new way to organize your travel research on iPhone and iPod touch.
-
What's different about Dcovery?
Dcovery is the beautiful marriage of online planning and offline travel. It is fast, elegant, reliable, and fits perfectly into every traveler's life.
-
Why did you start it?
We shared a problem: the disconnect between finding information online and accessing it while traveling left us resorting to writing down information and using outdated printed guides. Not a very modern way to do things.
-
When was the company founded?
September 2011. We are self-funded.

Matt Bellemare /matt
CEO, Co-founderInternet entrepreneur and user interface designer for many years, I am now serving as the head of awesome and strategizing to win over the heart of travelers with beautiful and well executed software.
If you'd never left your hometown you'd be? Prime Minister of Canada, lowering taxes and nurturing startups. Best trip you've ever taken? Beijing, for its rich culture, history and feeling like I was truly abroad for the first time. Scariest moment while traveling? Being stopped and ruffled by a mob of drunk villagers 10 minutes from the Cambodian border. I thought I'd be cooked in a cauldron and served for dinner (I kid, I kid).
Max Boulin /max
Pixel guy, Co-founderSelf-taught interface designer and front-end developer, I generally spend my days pushing pixels in Photoshop, and bringing them to life in my favorite code editor.
If you'd never left your hometown you'd be? Probably having a boring life. Best trip you've ever taken? Month-long journey in the mountains of Kochi, Japan. Scariest moment while traveling? Stuck in a drunk Thai taxi, "driving" with his seat completely laid back, with no working seat-belts, going at full speed on the expressway with the eyes closed because he thought it was cool.
Phil Michaud /phil
Hacker, Co-founderHacker, obsessed with being the best at what I do. The rumor says I break things when I lose a Starcraft game or when I can't crack code fast enough.
If you'd never left your hometown you'd be? Chuck Norris. Best trip you've ever taken? I was 15 years old, left Montreal behind to spend Christmas with my brother in British Columbia. Before making it to Whistler, we went to a Vancouver Canucks hockey game. Scariest moment while traveling? Being interrogated by custom officials in a wood shed in Cambodia, afraid they'd try to pin something on me.
