To install iOS 17, follow these steps on iPhone:

Phone app
The phone app has been updated with i Contact poster, which offer users a new way to share their personality. FaceTime calls are also made more expressive with reactions like hearts, balloons, fireworks, laser beams, rain, and more. The new effects can be activated via gestures and are also available for third-party video calling apps.

Messages

Stand by Provides a full-screen view with information visible from a distance when iPhone is on its side and charging. Ideal for when the iPhone is on a stand, kitchen counter, or desk at night, the StandBy option can be customized by choosing what appears from a range of clock styles, favorite photos, or widgets, including Smart Slacks Show the right widgets at the right time.
By supporting real-time activities, Siri, incoming calls, and larger notifications, StandBy makes iPhone even more useful when remotely. When charging via MagSafe, StandBy remembers the user’s preferred view. To display the information in standby, all you have to do is touch the screen, while on the iPhone 14 Pro with always-on display it is always visible.
