Apple released updates Rapid Security Response (RSR) for iPhone and iPad users with iOS and iPadOS 16.5.1 and Mac users with macOS Ventura 13.4.1.
Rapid Security Response Updates are intended to provide iOS and macOS users with security updates without having to install a full software update. Today’s updates fix one WebKit vulnerability actively exploited, so it is advisable to update as soon as possible.
iOS Security Response 16.5.1 It is available through the standard software update mechanism in the app Ideas on the iPhone or iPad, but it’s a quick update, with only a few minutes between the download, the quick reboot, and the installation process. The security update for macOS can be installed via system settings.
Once the new Rapid Security Response is installed, iOS 16.5.1 and macOS Ventura 13.4.1 users will see an updated version of the software, and when they tap that version in the About section of Settings, details about the installed operating system version will appear and displayed Rapid Security Response update.
