Launched in mid-April this year, the ROG Phone 7 is ASUS’ latest gaming phone. To find out more about its robustness, it underwent a resistance test conducted by YouTube channel JerryRigEverything.
The market for gaming smartphones is constantly growing and more and more brands are trying to establish themselves in this space. ASUS is one of the most recognizable names in the computer world and with the ROG Phone 7 it is also trying to conquer fans of video games on smartphones. To demonstrate the strength of its product, ASUS asked a JerryRigEverything to test it under adverse conditions.
The resistance test included tests with special tools for scratches and fire, as well as bending the device in both directions. The ROG Phone 7 passed all of these tests and proved to be a robust and durable device.
Thanks to Gorilla Glass Victus protection, the ROG Phone 7’s screen adhered to industry standards, suffering light scratches at tool hardness level 6 and deeper scratches at level 7. The biometric reader continued to function even after the damage was sustained.
While exposure to fire left a white mark on the panel, this quickly disappeared after the fire was extinguished. However, flexing the device didn’t crack the frame, proving that the ROG Phone 7 stands up to this test as well.
These results show that ASUS has worked well on the robustness of its gaming smartphone, offering gamers a product that is reliable and resilient to the harshest conditions. The ROG Phone 7 is therefore an excellent choice for anyone looking for a smartphone that can meet gaming needs without compromise.
