Honor is preparing to launch two new foldable smartphones in Europe. On September 1st, during the IFA 2023, the highly anticipated Honor Magic V2 will be presented.
Honor will launch two new foldable smartphones in Europe at IFA 2023 in Berlin. On September 1st at 10 a.m., the company will unveil the long-awaited successor to the Magic V, the Magic V2, which was launched in China in July. A worldwide launch, which is therefore at a short distance from the Chinese.
The Magic V2 has one of the best spec sheets out there, but it’s no joke design-wise either, as it’s the thinnest fold at just 4.7mm thick when open and 9.9mm when folded smartphone in the world. In comparison, Samsung’s newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 5 is 6.1mm and 13.4mm thick, respectively.
The Magic V2 is equipped with an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor like in the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and dual LTPO OLED screens with a 120Hz refresh rate. The 6.43-inch external panel promises a brightness of 2,500 nits, while the internal 7.92-inch device hits 1,600 nits.
The Honor Folding also features a 5,000mAh battery; In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 only offers 4,400 mAh. There are 3 cameras on the back, with a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide sensor and a 20MP telephoto sensor with 2.5x optical zoom.
It seems that Honor is preparing two foldable smartphones for its event, so another model should also arrive, but there is not much information about it at the moment. It’s probably a cheaper folding book, although there are rumors of a flip model.
