Xiaomi 14, finally the possible camera specifications

Unveiled new features of the Xiaomi 14 “Houji”: powerful hardware, innovative screen and focus on photographic performance.

Rather than resting on its laurels, Xiaomi continues to raise the bar. The Chinese tech giant is preparing to launch another high-end smartphone: the Xiaomi 14, also known as “houji”. The first leaked rumors show that this new model will bring not only a renewed design but also impressive hardware.

At the heart of the device, according to the information currently available, will be the very powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a processor with a maximum clock speed of 3.7 GHz. This CPU promises excellent performance, both in managing demanding applications and more advanced games. A leap forward that will surely win the hearts of the most loyal fans.

First rumors also point to a new camera configuration for the future model, with high resolution and sensors in line with the smartphone category. Despite these premises, the strengths of this configuration are still a mystery. In fact, it seems like the Chinese manufacturer has opted to stick with the 1-inch sensor rather than opting for the more premium 1.33-inch device.

The motivation behind this decision is not yet known, but analysts assume that this year Xiaomi could focus on improvements and optimizations of the existing photo system instead of introducing new sensors. To support this theory, the manufacturer seems to have opted to stick with the Sony IMX989, present in both the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 Ultra. With the front camera, however, we are talking about a 4K resolution, an impressive value for selfie lovers.

In terms of design, the Xiaomi 14 could boast a huge square module on the back designed to house the camera sensors and the LED flash with the now iconic lettering “Leica” on the website. The innovation doesn’t stop there though: the screen is said to have even thinner bezels than its predecessor, offering users a larger usable area and a flat format with a high refresh rate, which is now a must for flagships.

Xiaomi has not yet published any official information on availability and prices. However, as is tradition for the company, it can be assumed that the launch will initially take place in China.

The prerequisites for the success of the Xiaomi 14 “houji” they are very promising. The company seems to strive for a perfect balance between power, beauty and efficiency. It remains to be seen whether further details will confirm whether the new model can live up to the high expectations.
