YouTube Premium subscribers will soon have access to SharePlay and a higher bitrate 1080p video quality option on iPhone.
In a post on official blog, youtube Both features will be available in the iOS app “in the coming weeks”.
SharePlay It allows you to watch YouTube videos with friends and family during a FaceTime call the enhanced 1080p option it makes videos “extremely crisp and clear,” especially when there’s a lot of detail and movement. The default 1080p video quality option remains available for all YouTube users.
Other perks available to YouTube Premium members starting today include the option to queue videos in the app for iOS and Android, the ability to pick up a video from where you left off when you switch devices, and the option to automatically download recommended videos while connected to Wi-Fi for later offline viewing.
YouTube Premium costs $11.99 per month and offers ad-free video playback, the ability to view videos in PiP while using other apps or while a device screen is locked, an option to download videos for offline viewing, and more more.
