Carl Pei and his team offer innovation and quality at a more affordable price with the Nothing Phone (2a), a device that promises performance and design.
The Nothing phone (2)With its improvements in build quality, larger display and faster SoC, it offered an improved user experience, but at a high price that made it less accessible to many. However, rumors are circulating for 2024 that the company led by Carl Pei is working on a cheaper variant of the phone (2): the Nothing phone (2.).
Recently, the first real images of the Phone (2a) were revealed and today, December 23rd, a new report from the website SmartPrixedited by leaker Kamila Wojciechowska, provides details on display and camera specifications. The Phone 2a is expected to have a 120Hz AMOLED panel Produced by Visionox and BOE, with a resolution of 1084×2412 pixels. The display size was not specified, but previous information suggests a display of 6.7 inchesthe same as telephone (2).
There is one on the front of the phone (2a). Dual rear cameras. The main camera will be equipped with a sensor Samsung S5KGM9 50MPwhile the ultra-wide camera will have a sensor Samsung S5KJN1 50MP. The latter is the same ultra-wide sensor that is also used in the Phone 1 and Phone 2. To reduce costs, the main camera of the Phone (2a) may not have optical image stabilization (OIS), which could affect low-light performance. although this has not yet been confirmed. The front camera is expected to use the sensor Sony IMX615 32MPa popular option for selfies in mid-range and premium phones.
The young startup is focused on developing various SKUs of the Phone (2a) for four regions: India, Europe and two for Japan. This represents an increase over its bigger brother and suggests the mid-range phone will be available in more markets. Like previous Nothing models, the device will be available in black and white. The Nothing Phone (2a) is supposed to use the chip MediaTek Dimensity 7200 and feature a new back design with a modified Glyph interface. These changes aim to make the smartphone more accessible at an estimated price 400 dollars. If the rumors are confirmed, the Nothing Phone (2a) is expected to hit the market MWC 2024 from Barcelona, Spain. Nothing has already announced an event for February 27th to coincide with the fair. Since there are still more than two months until the market launch, more details about the device are likely to emerge.
