Google Pixel 7a on Geekbench, here’s what to expect

The recent listing on Geekbench revealed that the Google Pixel 7a adopts the Tensor G2 chipset and offers great performance with 8GB of RAM.

Google’s annual event called I/O is coming up and many people’s attention is focused on the possible presentation of the mid-range smartphone Pixel 7a. Although the release of the device has not yet been confirmed, it is possible that this will take place on May 10th, the day when the event takes place.

Before the release of the smartphone, many details about the technical characteristics, design and prices have already been announced. The only uncertainty recently was about the performance of the device Geekbench has published a list that reveals some technical specifications.

The Google Pixel 7a is powered by the Tensor G2 SoC with a peak clock frequency of 2.85 GHz and consists of a mix of cores. In fact, there will be two cores clocked at 2.35 GHz and four cores clocked at 1.8 GHz, flanked by the Mali G710 GPU.

According to Geekbench, the Pixel 7a scores 1380 points in the single-core test and 3017 points in the multi-core test. The device will also have 8GB of RAM and a minimum storage capacity of 128GB. Although the device has not yet launched, it is expected to ship with the Android 13 operating system.

The Pixel 7a’s performance looks very promising for a mid-range smartphone, suggesting that the device can easily handle a variety of tasks, including gaming.

In addition to performance, the technical characteristics and design of the new Pixel 7a are also interesting. The smartphone is expected to feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a 64-megapixel rear camera with OIS and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and a 10.8-megapixel front camera feature.

The device’s battery will have a capacity of 4,500 mAh and will also allow for 20 W wired and wireless charging.

In the end, although nothing has been officially communicated by Google, fans of the Pixel 7a smartphone can rest easy because the information leaked so far is very promising, both in terms of technical characteristics and performance. However, we will have to wait for May 10th to be sure of the actual performance of the smartphone.
